Section 144 of the CrPC has been in effect in Srinagar district from Sunday midnight. With curfews and restrictions being imposed in several parts of J&K, the Valley remains on edge. Amid heavy troop deployment and heightened tensions, the Union Cabinet is scheduled to meet at 9: 30 am today.
